The Road Home

New Executive Director Announced

Georgia Allen will be The Road Home Dane County’s next executive director, starting January 18, 2022.

“Georgia not only brings knowledge and expertise in the areas of family homelessness and housing inequities, but a demonstrated passion for The Road Home’s mission,” said The Road Home’s Board of Directors President Adam Sweet. “In addition, community engagement through her prior roles and other non-profit boards and leadership experiences position her well for success.”

Allen is currently the Community Engagement Manager at The Road Home and has been involved in several other local non-profits. She has served on the Board of Directors at Movin’ Out, Inc. for over three years and served on the Board at The River Food Pantry and Access to Independence. Georgia’s holistic approach to diversity, equity, and inclusion for all has been the driving force in her endeavors.

Georgia Allen succeeds Kristin Rucinski, who has been the executive director for the past ten years.

“I am excited to lead The Road Home into its next chapter as a successor continuing Kristin’s amazing leadership to end family homelessness,” said Georgia. “I am committed to this success through broadening the awareness of housing inequities and promoting collaborative and innovative solutions that meet the needs of those we serve when they need them.”
