At The Road Home Dane County, we know that lasting change takes a community. That’s why our partnerships with local businesses and corporate sponsors are so valuable. When companies volunteer their time, host drives, or support our events, they not only expand our reach but also create opportunities for families experiencing homelessness to feel supported, encouraged, and empowered.
Our corporate partners remind us that impact isn’t limited to financial support—it’s also about showing up, lending hands, and bringing joy. Here are just a couple of examples of how businesses have made a difference for families working hard toward long-term housing stability.
Steve Brown Apartments: The Big Roll Up & Family Fun Nights
Steve Brown Apartments has been a long-time partner of The Road Home, demonstrating consistent commitment to housing access and family support in Dane County. This year, they hosted The Big Roll Up, a paper product drive that united the community in generosity. The results? An incredible $10,650 raised and 1,757 rolls of toilet paper and paper towels collected to help meet the everyday needs of families we serve.
These essentials go a long way in helping families feel cared for and supported during times of transition.
Steve Brown Apartments also joined our Little Sprouts Big Ideas Family Fun Night, where they purchased and served food and led activities with children. Family Fun Nights are bi-monthly events that give families the chance to relax, play, and connect with one another in a safe, supportive space. Having partners like Steve Brown Apartments helps make those nights extra special and memorable for the families we serve.

TruStage: Community Impact Day in Action
Another shining example of corporate partnership comes from TruStage. During their recent Community Impact Day, employees volunteered across Dane County, and we were honored to be one of their chosen sites.
TruStage volunteers dedicated their time and energy to cleaning and refreshing the spaces where families live. In just a few hours, they helped ensure that the housing we provide is not only safe, but also welcoming and cared for—because everyone deserves to feel at home.
How Your Business Can Get Involved
Partnerships like these show that there are so many ways businesses can support families experiencing homelessness. Whether it’s through:
-
Hosting a drive to collect essential items
-
Donating to support our programs
-
Volunteering at events or with property projects
-
Or sponsoring family-centered activities
…every effort makes a difference.
If your company is looking for a way to make a lasting community impact, we’d love to connect. Together, we can build a stronger, more compassionate Dane County where every family has the chance to thrive.
