Business partners like UW Health, UnityPoint Health – Meriter & Quartz are an essential part of helping families find and maintain housing.
Ending family homelessness and ensuring that every child in our community has a home is not something that we can accomplish alone. It takes the effort of many people in our community working together. Our business partners are an essential part of these efforts. UW Health, UnityPoint Health – Meriter & Quartz is a great example of a business that has made a significant impact on reducing homelessness in our community.
UW Health, UnityPoint Health – Meriter & Quartz has gotten involved with The Road Home in a variety of ways. They have been long-time event sponsors. This year, they are a lead sponsor for our Homes for Families Breakfast as well as our Families Moving Forward event. They provide generous general support, and have given $25,000 each year for the past two years. General support allows us to use funds where they are most needed. They have involved their employees by holding wish list drives, donating items such as diapers, cleaning supplies and gas cards that can help families transition from homelessness to housing. UnityPoint Health – Meriter also helped provide school supplies for kids in our housing programs. “UW Health, UnityPoint Health – Meriter & Quartz understands the connection between safe, stable housing and health for individuals and families,” said Annie Bockhop, Community Relations & Diversity Coordinator at UW Health. We appreciate partnering with The Road Home, where families are given the support and resources they need to maintain stable housing. When families have secure housing, they can focus on their health and other needs. The Road Home helps to set up these families for successful, healthy futures.”
